Different kinds of Poké Balls

In Pokémon you can catch Pokémon with Poké Balls after you weaken them. There are a lot of different kinds of Poké Balls and here is a list of them.

Poké Ball: A regular Poké Ball. Use it to catch Pokémon.

Great Ball: Can catch Pokémon 50% better than a Poké Ball.

Ultra Ball: Can catch Pokémon twice as good as a Poké Ball.

Master Ball: Will catch any Pokémon. Best Poké Ball ever. No Pokémon can escape from it.

Safari Ball: Only for use in the Safari Zone.

Sport Ball: Only for use in the National Park Bug-Catching Contest.

Level Ball: Works better the higher the level your Pokémon is than the wild Pokémon’s.

Lure Ball: Works best on Pokémon you catch with a fishing rod.

Moon Ball: Works best on Pokémon that evolve with a Moon Stone.

Friend Ball: Works as well as a Poké Ball, but the caught Pokémon has a high happiness value when caught.

Fast Ball: Works best on Pokémon that flee from battle, like Abra.

Heavy Ball: Works better the heavier the Pokémon is.

Love Ball: Works best if your Pokémon and the wild Pokémon are opposite genders.

Luxury Ball: Works as well as a Poké Ball, but the caught Pokémon’s happiness value will raise faster than normal.

Premier Ball: Exactly the same as a Poké Ball, except it looks different. To get it, buy 10 or more Poké Balls at a time.

Net Ball: Works best on a Water or Bug Pokémon.

Dive Ball: Works best on Pokémon in the sea or underwater.

Nest Ball: Works better on Pokémon below level 30.

Repeat Ball: Works best on Pokémon you have already caught before.

Timer Ball: Works better the longer the battle takes.

Heal Ball: Works as well as a Poké Ball, but heals the Pokémon once it goes in your party after you catch it.

Dusk Ball: Works best at night or in caves.

Quick Ball: Works best if you use it at the very first turn of battle.

Park Ball: Only for use in the Pal Park.

Dream Ball: This ball mysteriously appears in your bag in the Entralink Forest, and lets you capture Pokémon you’ve encountered in the Dream World.

Cherish Ball: Not much is known about this Poké Ball. It is used to hold Pokémon given out at special events.

  1. Is there any possible way i could be able to get a cherish ball into my bag?
I might be able to find more out about it if i do that. I’m guessing it might be used to catch rare pokemon, such as manaphy, or phione (which by the way i got a phione from “my pokemon ranch” and it showed it was caught by a cherish ball) but thats my guess. You should have a question on the site that asks what people think it does. That, or it’s just a ball that only nintendo can use and it’s like a master ball with a differnet skin (which would be cool btw)

I wonder if i could use an action replay to get one…

We have answered this on the Answers to Pokémon questions page.
